Fertility Acupuncture.
Fertility-specific acupuncture is a very helpful treatment and a part of my integrative PEAK Fertility Method+. Research shows acupuncture improves pregnancy success and live birth rates (having a baby!) both naturally and in patients undergoing IVF and IUI. Once pregnant, acupuncture is encouraged to reduce miscarriage risk and alleviate common symptoms of pregnancy safely and effectively.
Naturopathic Prenatal Care.
It’s your health and their future. I love helping couples navigate the unknown excitement and worry of pregnancy with timely prenatal visits each trimester with optional prenatal acupuncture add-on. We review upcoming tests, discuss optimal nutrition, genetic testing (NDs can order NIPT), monitor iron stores, gestational diabetes, prep for GBS screen, labour, and more. As a mother of two, I believe naturopathic prenatal care elevates your general prenatal care to allow for the healthiest pregnancy possible.
Gut-Hormone Reset Program.
Research shows that gastrointestinal imbalances are a major driver of hormone-related conditions (PCOS, endometriosis, painful periods, hypothyroidism, and more). My gut-hormone reset program is life changing, literally. Gut health is at the core of so many symptoms and conditions women of all ages experience.
Natural Professional Pharmacy.
Chalked full of carefully selected professional health medicines, our natural pharmacy is years in the making, taking out the guess work for you. Working with trusted, third party tested and when possible, Canadian companies, we have a very special natural pharmacy that is dedicated and devoted to our patients. Our natural dispensary is within the clinic making it easy for you. Curb-side pick up is available and refills may be made over the phone when approved by your ND.
Bioidentical Hormone Therapy.
Bio-identical by definition means body-identical or the same as your body. Bioidentical hormones are safe and have many benefits when you are a candidate for their use. I have been prescribing bioidentical hormone therapy for the past decade to women in all stages of life. Hormone therapy is an area where I like to geek out and do most of my continuing education - training and extra courses to make sure I am up on the latest and greatest!
Nutritional Evaluation & Body Composition.
Healthy body weight is essential for optimal fertility, balanced hormones and overall health. Body Mass Index (BMI) too high or too low can negatively impact conception and pregnancy as well as overall health and well being. Every patient can benefit from assessing their diet, exercise, and screen for nutrient deficiencies. A body impedance analysis may be to customize a specific nutrition plan to optimize your health or weight loss goals.

Understand the “normal” range and what you can really do about it or undercover a skipped over diagnosis with more speciality labs that dig a little deeper. Naturopathic doctors routinely order standard labs at Lifelabs such as: FSH, LH, estrogen, prolactin, ferritin/iron, CBC, thyroid panel, vitamin D, progesterone, CRP, metabolic panel, anti-mullein hormone (AMH), and more. NDs can also order salivary or urine hormone panels, Cycle mapping, Adrenal cortisol panels, food allergy (IgE) & sensitivity (IgG) testing, candida, SIBO breath test, stool tests, semen analysis and more.
Physical Exams.
Naturopathic physicians are trained to perform physical exams similar to a conventional medical doctor -eyes, ears, nose, throat, abdominal exam, lungs and cardiovascular system, smell, reflexes, hair/skin/nails, rashes, joint pain, BMI, and more.
Vitamin Shots.
Vitamin shots can be very effective with rapid results! Some routine shots frequently given at the clinic include: Vitamin B12, vitamin D3, B6, folate, adrenal shot, immune shot, weight loss shot, trigger point pain injections.
Genetic Consultation.
Genomics is a rapidly growing field in medicine. Genetic testing can reveal specific gaps in your treatment plan. Simply order a 23andme DNA kit (no affiliation) then have your report decoded into actual usable health-related information including tailored supplement recommendations. For example, do you need more phase 1 or 2 liver support? Do you really need folate or will folic acid do just fine?
Pre-birth or Induction Acupuncture.
Pre-birth acupuncture is very helpful in preparing the body for childbirth. It is recommended to start at 32 weeks gestation if you are a first time mom and no later than 35 weeks if this is not your first rodeo. If your baby is snug as a bug, no biggie, induction specific acupuncture points can really get things going using your body’s own energy force. No drugs, no questionable cocktails. Acupuncture is often recommended by midwives in postdates. Acupuncture is also very good at turning a BREECH baby!
