How my journey began

I was 15 when I was put on the birth control pill because I hadn’t gotten my period yet. The doctor suggested this at the time to ‘protect my bones’, but unfortunately didn’t look into causes as to why I had no period yet. I knew that I wanted to be a different kind of doctor -one that asked questions and found the root cause of the problem; one that provided more treatment options and real solutions. After my first year at naturopathic medical school, I found my answer. I have PCOS. I was upset -why didn’t that doctor ask me more questions? Why didn’t I have more lab tests done? Why was my only treatment option the pill and for so long to only mask my symptoms?

Fast forward years later, I am now a mother of two, wife, plant-lover, west coast dwelling, women’s health experienced naturopathic physician. My own personal health journey has lead me to a passion for helping women balance their hormones, optimize their fertility, and live a healthy life using an integrated medical approach. No band-aids, no quick fixes, yet amazing lasting results.

First, I listen. Yup, like really listen to you. Then, I ask questions (a lot of them) to find and treat the root cause(s). This may involve removing an obstacle in your way to elevate your health and well being. With years of medical training coupled with my own personal health journey, I have real tools such as nutrition & lifestyle coaching, evidence-based herbal medicine, targeted vitamins & minerals, advanced laboratory testing, acupuncture, and when necessary, medications like hormones to help achieve your goals.

My mission is to provide honest, heart-felt, and complete integrative naturopathic medicine for women of all ages. I especially love to help couples facing challenges with conception, prenatal care, and women with PCOS -the most common endocrine issue in women of reproductive age and one of the most under diagnosed. I also have a large perimenopause and menopausal based practice.

Whatever it is, your story matters.
