Naturopathic medicine is a primary health care system that draws on both traditional healing methods and modern medical science. Naturopathic doctors aim to determine the root cause of a person’s illness and develop a unique treatment plan according to the individual needs of each patient.

First Visit (60mins) -Individual’s Naturopathic.

Your initial visit is your chance to share your story. It is where we connect and I listen while taking a full health history and health assessment. I often give you a requisition form for lab work to identify issues and/or areas of improvement. A focused physical exam may be performs and treatment is always given first visit. I will also refer you to another healthcare professionals when appropriate to ensure you are getting the best care possible. To see what I love to treat, check out my bio page.

First Visit (60mins) -Women’s health.

A first visit includes a full health history and assessment with a women’s health focus in mind. A lab requisition form is often given and treatment is always recommended in the first visit. I have created the PEAK Fertility Method+ to ensure fertility patients get the best holistic care. I’ve also developed a passion for treating perimenopause and menopause to improve both quality of life now and disease reduction for the future.

First Visit (up to 75mins) -Couples’ Fertility.

It takes two to tango! Male factor infertility is equal to female factor infertility, yet is often overlooked. Coming in as a couple allows for the whole picture to be seen and assessed. A full health history and lab requisitions will often be given to ensure both parties are evaluated properly and your health and fertility elevated, apart of my PEAK Fertility Method+. Follow up visits are booked as individuals to allow for enough time to review lab results and treatment plans in depth.

Follow Up Visits (15/30/45 mins).

The first follow up visit usually occurs 4-6 weeks after the initial visit. Lab results are reviewed in detail as well as how you are progressing with treatment and your questions answered. Sometimes follow ups need to occur more frequently depending on what’s going on (ie) more acute care until a long-term treatment plan is in place. Generally subsequent follow up visits occur every 2-3 months. If you are on BHRT, it is required that you have at least two follow-up visits or check-ups with Dr. Munn annually.

Acupuncture (60mins).

Acupuncture is an ancient form of treatment using tiny one-use, sterile needles insert skillfully at specific points on the surface of the body known as acupuncture points. Through its unique and gentle mechanism, acupuncture promotes balance and normalizes function in all of the organs and systems of our body, helping them to do what they are supposed to do. It is a relaxing, drug-free option that is safe and effective. A short consult (15mins) occurs at the start of each session before you get comfortable on a heated, clean treatment table to receive your individualized acupuncture treatment (30-45mins). Infrared heat lamps and calming music or meditations contribute to your overall relaxation experience. If you are booking acupuncture for fertility or women’s health, please complete both intake forms.

Acupuncture Add-On (60mins).

If you are a patient of Dr. Emily Munn’s already under her naturopathic care, you may add-on acupuncture to your treatment program by simply filling out the last two pages of the acupuncture intake form and start receiving regular acupuncture from Dr. Munn as part of your treatment plan. For example, Dr. Munn often provides prenatal care throughout pregnancy and will then offer pre-birth acupuncture starting around week 34 while continuing her naturopathic support to you.

Most extended health plans cover naturopath/naturopathic medicine including visits and diagnostic (lab) testing. Please check with your provider for your coverage.
